In recent news, syndicated radio personality Rush Limbaugh reportedly called Georgetown University law student, Sandra Fluke, a “slut” and a “prostitute” in regards to her stance on contraception and health care coverage.
Fluke, in an attempt to change the religiously affiliated university’s policies on the issue of contraception, has spent her three years at the institution lobbying.
In his online apology, Limbaugh pled his case, writing, “My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.”
Furthermore, President Obama extended a warm apology to the law student on Friday, March 2, for the harsh critique of the radio talk show host.
