Will Santorum Win in His Home State?

Primaries for Rick Santorum’s home state of Pennsylvania is set for April 24th.

While Santorum is ultimately hoping to take home a win and has be overwhelmingly optimistic about his chances, the facts are that Santorum and opponent, Mitt Romney, have remained in a statistical tie until recently.

Where for quite some time, Santorum was ahead in the polls in his home state, the tides turned and continue to change.

In a CNN Poll released in March, Santorum and Romney received 30% and 28% of the vote, respectively, which falls within the margin of error.

As of late, according to another CNN poll released in early April, Santorum has gotten a little bit more edge over his opponent. Santorum and Romney now have 41% and 35% of the vote in this poll.

Santorum is definitely going to hang on until the Pennsylvania primary, but what will happen if he doesn’t get the win? We’ll see come April 24th!
