Increased Criticism of Obama’s Travel

In recent news, Obama has come under attack for his frequent campaign travel and how he pays for it.

The issue in question is whether or not Obama should pay for his campaign travel at the expense of the tax payers.

The Republican National Committee has filed a formal complaint in which they accused Obama of allegedly mixing business with more business, er, campaigning…

Hashtag Campaign, Clever Ploy

In an attempt to reconnect with his young supporters and voters, Obama spoke to college students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill last Tuesday and employed a very sly and clever trick to get them interested in what he had to say.

Obama had the crowd repeat after him “Don’t double my rate.”

In order to get young adults more involved, he evoked concern over a recent hike in interest on student loans.

The Twitter hashtag #dontdoublemyrates was one of the most trending on the website the day of its mention.

White House Correspondents’ Dinner

This weekend was a very big weekend for both those accustomed to life in the White House and those more used to the lime light. April 28th, marked the 98th annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner, held at the Washington Hilton.

Those in attendance, ranged from the Kardashians to President and Mrs. Obama.

Many of the proceeds go to various causes, but the majority of the funds go to scholarships of excellence in the field of journalism.
