Also some of the biggest news relates to the Secret Service prostitution scandal in Colombia prior to President Obama’s arrival to the country.
There are several investigations taking place, and it seems as though the key word in this scandal is “culture.” Several senators have used this term to describe the context in which this incident occurred.
Many are scratching their heads and wondering if this type of thing has happened before. If it has or even if it hasn’t, the need here is to change the secret service ‘culture,’ as many senators who are involved in committees that oversee the Secret Service have gone on record saying.
Some of the biggest news of the week was centered around the Senate’s prohibiting the implementation of the Buffet Rule.
The Buffet Rule was a new tax plan that was proposed by President Obama. This rule would set a minimum of 30% on taxes of individual’s making more than a million dollars per year.
The rule gets its name from a multi-millionaire investor, Warren Buffet, who in 2011, took a stand, stating that he wanted a higher tax rate for the wealthy.

George Zimmerman, the one and only suspect in the Trayvon Martin case is set to be charged with second degree murder.
Zimmerman’s attorneys no longer represent him, as he turned down their legal advice, according to a reports by NBC news.
It was alleged that Zimmerman was hiding out because he was in fear for his life, due in part to the $10,000 bounty that was put on his head by one particular group of Trayvon Martin supporters.
After his whereabouts were in question, Zimmerman turned himself in and is now being held in custody.
GOP hopeful, Ron Paul, approved a new ad recently, in the hopes of reminding the American public that he is still in the race and is showing no signs of dropping out.
The new 30 second spot, which is titled Vote Texas, hit Texas airwaves in the wake of Paul’s campaign stop in his home state.
“Let’s get this straight: We’re debating between a big-spending, debt-ceiling-raising fiscal liberal. A moon colony guy. A moderate from Massachusetts. Or a Texan with a real plan to balance the budget,” reads the voice over.
The ad paints Paul to be the sole remaining conservative left in the campaign.
The Texas primary will be held on May 29th, with 152 delegates at stake.

Texts From Hillary has made its mark on the pop culture world, posting candid pictures of Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.
This tumblr account, http://textsfromhillaryclinton.tumblr.com/, made news all over for poking fun at Secretary Clinton, who is notoriously known for always being on her blackberry.
The site is a simple concept. It uses one photo of Hillary repeatedly, links it to photos of other well known people who are in the public eye, and, lastly, there is a caption on both photos.
According to the administrators of the Texts From Hillary tumblr page, The week had “32 posts, 83,000 shares on Facebook, 8,400 Twitter followers, over 45K Tumblr followers, news stories around the world, Renee Montagne from Morning Edition saying “ROFL,” a Maureen Dowd column, and a tweet from ?uest Love, we think it’s time to stop while we are ahead.”
There will be no more postings to Texts From Hillary because the administrators of the page were actually able to text with Secretary Clinton AND she submitted her own photo for the gallery. What can top that?
